BILL MCKIBBEN is the author of eight books, including The End of Nature and The Age of Missing Information. He is a regular contributor to Harper’s, The Atlantic, The New York Review of Books, and is a scholar-in-residence at Middlebury College. He lives with his wife, the writer Sue Halpern, in the mountains surrounding Lake Champlain. He recently contributed to the new book The New Village Green.
