Essential Book for Any Poultry Owner, April 10, 2008 Reviewer: Herman from MO Gail Damerow has done an outstanding job on this book. You can take the symptoms you observe in your bird(s), factor in the age of the bird, and find the disease,parasite or genetics that is causing your problem. You can then find out how serious the problem is (what percentage of your flock will become affected and how many may die) and a recommended treatment program if available.
You'll even be able to do a postmortem exam if you wish. No poultry person should be without this book. It has saved me countless hours of needless worrying and saved the lives of thousands of my chickens and turkeys.
