Each archive film on this video has a commentary recorded by the farmer in the 1990s describing the work of the farm, the crops, the people and the farm machinery. The farms shown are at Boxted, Essex 1925; Terrington, Norfolk 1940s; Rickinghall, Suffolk 1950; Pymoor, Cambridgeshire 1950; Hartest, Suffolk 1950s; and Little Plumstead, Norfolk 1955.
