Backroads & Bayous, CD by Karen Collins. This CD combines my two musical passions, early country music and traditional Cajun music. The two styles are close first cousins with a similar spirit. I perform regularly with two groups The Blue Moon Cowgirls (Ann Porcella, Dana Ward & Ira Gitlin) and Squeeze Bayou (Matt Levine, Brian Simms, Fred Feinstein, Kevin Enoch & David Lopez). I am pleased to feature both groups on this recording along with friends Dede Wyland and Ric Sweeny . I send big thanks to all of thesse talented musicians. Extra special thanks goes to Ira for all of the time and creative energy that he contributed to the arrangements of the country songs.
